EMPOWERING RWANDAN TEA FARMERS: A DOCUMENTARY EXPLORATION WITH ETHICAL TEA PARTNERSHIP

The Ethical Tea Partnership led to the creation of two compelling documentaries and a captivating photo essay, spotlighting the lives of smallholder tea farmers in Rwanda. Focusing on their participation in the Strategic Alliance (STA) program, supported by ETP, our documentaries delve into the program's impact on productivity, financial literacy, and gender equality within these communities. Through authentic storytelling and intimate interviews, we showcase the transformative journey of individuals and communities involved in the STA program.

Frankincense and myrrh are perhaps best known for their biblical connotations. But this tree sap has been prized across the world for over 6,000 years. These fragrant incense pieces come from the Burseraceae family of trees and are found across the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. But despite recent attempts to protect these trees, they could soon be headed for extinction. So what makes frankincense and myrrh so expensive?

Madagascar's Blue Economy

Families live along the coastline livelihood is fully dependent on the sustainability of the fishery industry. To improve the fishery industry, in 2004 small scale traditional fisheries from South West Madagascar started using closures on the octopus 2 - 6 months. This helped them to increase catch.This success led to community to take actions.

At that time police department in Vallejo trace down the kidnaper all the way to South California but killed him in a shootout with the police. This story is about a family searching for an answer about their little girl's life.

A mother of three Robin was given a DNA testing kit as a Mother's Day gift from her children. As an African American woman, this gift was really important to Robin to know her African roots so she took the DNA test and the result reveals a 54-year family secret. This short documentary is about a mother finding her identity through the DNA test.

Water taxi from Richmond to San Francisco launches

Tideline Marine Group launched a new Richmond-to-San Francisco water taxi today. The commuter service will run Mondays through Fridays on three vessels that will transport passengers between Marina Bay and San Francisco’s Pier 1.5.
